1st Shift: Hours are 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM until 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 6:00 AM until noon. Time and a half pay after 40 hours. Whether you're a recent graduate fresh out of welding school or have 1–2 years of experience, we want to hear from you! United Concrete is looking for motivated Rebar Tack Welders to join our precast concrete manufacturing team. Job Duties: Tack weld rebar into cages, mats, and assemblies according to blueprints, shop drawings, and specificatio. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with United Concrete in Wallingford, New Haven County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.

- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
