ChambaNOW operates an online marketplace that helps workers connect with contractors, homeowners, businesses, property managers, and other people seeking labor services. By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Platform, and information received from service providers and other sources.
A. Account and Contact Information
When you create an account, contact us, or use the Platform, we may collect information such as:

- Profile photograph
- Account type, such as worker or hirer
- Communications you send to ChambaNOW
B. Worker Profile Information

Worker profile information may be displayed to hirers and other Platform users. Workers should not place sensitive personal information—such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, immigration documents, or precise home addresses—in public profile fields.
C. Hirer and Job Information
When a hirer creates an account or posts a job, we may collect:
- Name or business name
- Contact information
- Job location
- Job description
- Skills or services requested
- Proposed pay or budget
- Requested work date and time
- Photographs or documents related to the job
- Communications with workers
- Hiring and job-posting activity
- Ratings, reviews, or reports regarding workers
Some job information may be visible to workers or the public. Hirers should avoid including unnecessary personal or confidential information in publicly visible job postings.
D. Location Information
ChambaNOW may collect location information to help workers and hirers find opportunities near one another.
Depending on your settings and how you use the Platform, this may include:
- City, ZIP code, or general service area
- An address entered for a job
- Approximate location derived from an Internet Protocol address
- Device location, when you give the Platform permission to access it
Location information may be used to calculate distance, display nearby workers or jobs, improve search results, provide directions, prevent fraud, and operate other location-based features.
You can control device-location access through your browser or device settings. Disabling location access may limit certain Platform features.
We generally encourage users to share only the location information necessary to arrange a job. A worker's precise home address should not be displayed publicly.
E. Messages and Translation Information
The Platform may allow workers and hirers to communicate directly. We may collect and process:
- Messages exchanged through the Platform
- Message attachments
- Delivery and read-status information
- Reports of abusive, fraudulent, or inappropriate messages
ChambaNOW may use automated tools or third-party services to translate communications between English, Spanish, and other supported languages. Message content must be processed to provide these translations.
Automated translations may contain errors. Users should independently confirm important details such as pay, job duties, location, safety requirements, schedules, and employment terms.
F. Payment and Transaction Information
If payments are offered or processed through the Platform, payment information may be collected and processed by a third-party payment provider.
ChambaNOW may receive limited transaction information, such as:
- Payment status
- Transaction amount
- Transaction date
- Payment method type
- Billing name or address
- Refund or dispute information
- A payment-provider transaction identifier
ChambaNOW generally does not directly store complete credit or debit card numbers when payments are handled by an outside payment processor.
Workers and hirers may also make payment arrangements independently. ChambaNOW is not responsible for financial information exchanged outside the Platform.
G. Device, Usage, and Technical Information
When you use the Platform, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

- Browser and device type
- Operating system
- Device identifiers
- Language settings
- Referring and exit pages
- Pages and features viewed
- Search activity
- Job and profile interactions

H. Safety, Verification, and Fraud-Prevention Information

ChambaNOW is designed to connect workers and hirers. Certain information may therefore be visible to other users or the public.

- Availability

- Profile description
- Ratings and reviews
- Job titles and descriptions

Publicly visible pages may be indexed by search engines and may remain visible in search results or cached pages for a period of time after information is changed or removed.
Do not post sensitive information in profiles, reviews, messages, or job listings unless it is necessary and you are comfortable sharing it with the intended recipient.
4. How We Share Information
We may share information in the following circumstances.
A. Between Workers and Hirers
We share information as necessary to help users evaluate, contact, and arrange work with one another.
For example, a hirer may see a worker's profile, skills, general location, rates, and availability. A worker may see information about a hirer and the job being offered.
Once users connect, they may independently exchange additional information. Information shared directly with another user is subject to that user's own actions and privacy practices.
B. Service Providers
We may share information with companies that help us operate the Platform, such as providers of:
- Website hosting and data storage
- Account authentication
- Email and text-message delivery
- Mapping and location services
- Translation technology
- Payment processing
- Customer support
- Analytics
- Security, fraud detection, and abuse prevention
- Database and software infrastructure
- Professional, legal, or accounting services
These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services for ChambaNOW, subject to their agreements and applicable law.
C. Legal and Safety Reasons

11. California Privacy Notice

Depending on how you use ChambaNOW, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

- Customer-record information, such as contact information, payment-related information, and service history.
- Characteristics protected under law, when voluntarily provided or reasonably inferred from language preferences or other information. ChambaNOW does not require users to disclose race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics in order to create a basic account.
- Commercial information, such as jobs posted, services requested, transaction information, rates, and Platform activity.
- Internet or electronic-network activity, such as browsing activity, searches, clicks, account interactions, device information, and cookie data.
- Geolocation information, such as city, ZIP code, general service area, job location, approximate device location, or precise device location when permission is provided.
- Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information, such as profile photographs, job photographs, message attachments, and customer-service communications.
- Professional or employment-related information, such as skills, experience, services, rates, qualifications, certifications, availability, and job history.
- Inferences, such as likely job preferences, service interests, or relevant search results based on Platform activity.
- Sensitive personal information, which may include account login credentials, precise geolocation, financial information processed for transactions, or message content where treated as sensitive under applicable law.
We collect these categories from users, devices, service providers, payment processors, other Platform users, and publicly available sources when appropriate.
We use and disclose this information for the business and commercial purposes described throughout this Privacy Policy.
ChambaNOW does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about users. Where required by law, California residents may request that we limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information.
California residents may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain information about ChambaNOW's collection, use, disclosure, sale, or sharing of personal information. They may also have the right to opt out of qualifying sale or sharing and to exercise these rights without discriminatory treatment.

ChambaNOW does not control and is not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third parties. Their privacy policies govern information they collect directly.
15. Children's Privacy
ChambaNOW is intended for adults who are legally able to offer, request, or arrange work.
The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly allow individuals under 18 to create worker or hirer accounts.
If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 18 through an unauthorized account, we may suspend the account and delete the information, subject to legal and safety requirements.

16. Employment and Independent Relationships
ChambaNOW is a marketplace that facilitates connections between users. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, ChambaNOW is not the employer, employee, staffing agency, contractor, agent, partner, or representative of users.
Workers and hirers are responsible for determining their legal relationship, payment arrangements, tax obligations, licensing requirements, insurance obligations, employment classification, and compliance with applicable labor and employment laws.
Information collected through the Platform does not create an employment relationship with ChambaNOW.
17. International Users
ChambaNOW is operated in the United States and is primarily intended for users located in the United States.
If you access the Platform from another country, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in the Platform, our information practices, technology, or legal requirements.
