MCAW / MIG Welder – Steel Pipe Manufacturing Location: Dearborn, MI Type: Full-Time, Onsite Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm M-F Compensation Range: $25 – $34 per hour, based on experience and weld test performance Industry: Steel Pipe Manufacturing / Industrial Production About the Opportunity A well-established steel pipe manufacturer in Dearborn, Michigan is seeking 2–3 skilled MCAW / MIG Welders to join its team. This role is specifically focused on Metal-Cored Arc W. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with K2 Ascend in Dearborn, Wayne County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
