Manual Machinist and/or Shop Welder Responsibilities: *Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines - We have Southwestern Industries mills and lathes using ProtoTRAK M2 and SMX controls *Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production *Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping *Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task *Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary *Checks out. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Synerfac Technical Staffing in Newark, New Castle County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.

- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
