Maintenance Technician
About this role
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks. Responsibilities: Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion Estimate time and extent of repairs Perform routine preventive maintenance Maintain material and supply inventory Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary Qualifications: Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC. This is a electrical opportunity with Prairie Management & Development, Inc. in Chicago, Cook County. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.
What you'll do
- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
