About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a strong industrial maintenance background and a proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical systems. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, equipment alignment, bearings, motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and lubrication practices. Success in this role requires proficiency in welding, cutting, fabrication, rigging, and safe lifting practices, as well as the a. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with GCC in Bessemer, Pueblo County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
