About this role
Welder This role focuses on MIG welding and gas-shielded flux core welding on structural and carbon steel components ranging from 16 gauge to 0.5 inches in thickness. You read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions, lay out metal and build fixtures, perform precise measurements, and complete high-quality welds that meet defined specifications and dimensions. You also carry out quality checks and finishing work, including gri. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Aerotek in Henrico, Henrico County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.

- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
