Reports To: HVAC Supervisor Pay Grade: A07 Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Duty Days: 260 Days Date Created: 06/2026 Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred HVAC trade school or technical training (preferred) Valid Texas Operator’s License Any equivalent combination of education, experience and qualifications that the administration determines to be appropriate and acceptable may be considered Knowledge of HVAC systems, air filtration systems and preventative maintenance practices Kno. This is a HVAC opportunity with Katy ISD in Katy, Harris County. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning install and service. Technicians install units, charge refrigerant, and diagnose airflow and electrical faults in residential and commercial systems.
What you'll do
- Install and service HVAC units and ductwork
- Diagnose refrigerant, airflow, and electrical issues
- Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups
- Follow EPA refrigerant-handling rules
- Communicate repairs clearly to customers
