Technician II - Preventative Maintenance
About this role
Essential Functions Performs preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and assists in the maintenance of all mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, and compressors in addition to belt adjustments, oiling, greasing, and cleaning of same. Performs preventative maintenance and assists in the servicing of boiler, burners, hot water generators. Water heaters and pool filtration equipment. Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs to all HVAC equipment,. This is a HVAC opportunity with Baltimore City Public Schools in Baltimore, Baltimore County. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning install and service. Technicians install units, charge refrigerant, and diagnose airflow and electrical faults in residential and commercial systems.

- Install and service HVAC units and ductwork
- Diagnose refrigerant, airflow, and electrical issues
- Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups
- Follow EPA refrigerant-handling rules
- Communicate repairs clearly to customers
