Structural Welder 1st Class Pay: $34.00 Sign-On: Bonus: $1,000 Must be available for day and night shift Requirements: 3 years of structural welding, new construction steel experience Pulse MIG welding experience strongly preferred Must pass a lifetime background check, preemployment physical and drug screening Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality steel welding in accordance with approved welding procedures and project specifications. Weld in various positions, including confined. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Ameri-Force in Mobile, Mobile County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
