About this role
Structural Steel Combo Welder–Fitter Location: New Iberia, LA | Employment: Full-Time | Compensation: $25–$29 per hour (weekly pay) A day in this role You start your shift with a blueprint review, confirming dimensions and tolerances before fitting up structural members. You’ll lay down clean 3G/4G welds using Flux-Cored and Short Arc/MIG processes, verify alignment, and keep production flowing. By mid-day, you’re alternating between fit-up and multi-pass welding on structural steel, checking w. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Express Employment Professionals - Lafayette, LA in New Iberia, Iberia Parish. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
