Shipfitter Day Shift: $42.00 Night Shift: $43.00 Sign-On Bonus: $1000 A First-Class Shipfitter, also referred to as a Journeyman Shipfitter or a Boilermaker, is responsible for various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, assembling and erection of metal components at the various stages in constructing a marine vessel. Shipyard production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a da. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Ameri-Force in Pascagoula, Jackson County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.

- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
