Sheet Metal Helper DAY Shift Petaluma, CA This entry-level Sheet Metal Helper role supports the sheet metal fabrication department within a busy manufacturing facility. You will handle and process sheet metal components, assist with basic fabrication tasks, and help keep production moving safely and efficiently. The position is ideal for someone who wants a long-term career in manufacturing, is comfortable with physical work, and is eag. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Aerotek in Petaluma, Sonoma County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
