About this role
Welder Main Purpose: To perform job functions required and assigned in the fabrication of structural/piping materials per the contract/job specifications and quality assurance requirements/fitting procedures and established ISO/QC program standards. The Welder's. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with GULF ISLAND LLC in Houma, LA. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
