Maintenance WorkerPerform a variety of tasks involved in responsibility of trades such as: roofing, asphalt work, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and concrete work. Make minor exposed wires and clean and lubricate moving more than 2 consecutive days at any given time. This is a plumbing opportunity with US Department of Veterans Affairs in Houston, TX. Plumbing installation and repair for water, drain, and gas systems. Involves running pipe, setting fixtures, and diagnosing leaks or blockages in homes and commercial buildings.
What you'll do
- Install and repair pipes, fixtures, and water heaters
- Diagnose leaks, clogs, and pressure issues
- Cut, thread, and solder pipe
- Read plans and follow plumbing code
- Assist licensed plumbers on service calls
