The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for a Maintenance Specialist, Building/Facility/Construction, Journey 2/Lead, for the Goose Creek Correctional Center (GCCC), located in Mackenzie Point, Alaska. Watch Alaska DOC's video here: Facilities 30 Second Cut What you will be doing: The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Service, clean, and repair gas fired burners, HVAC equipment, ventilation system, refrigera. This is a HVAC opportunity with State of Alaska in Douglas, Juneau. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning install and service. Technicians install units, charge refrigerant, and diagnose airflow and electrical faults in residential and commercial systems.

- Install and service HVAC units and ductwork
- Diagnose refrigerant, airflow, and electrical issues
- Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups
- Follow EPA refrigerant-handling rules
- Communicate repairs clearly to customers
