Facility Maintenance Technician III (Future Opening)
About this role
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Perform preventive maintenance and repair of the Company's facility infrastructure to maximize availability and provide the highest quality of service for our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AT ALL LEVELS: 60% Dispatch to communities across the state of Alaska to perform preventative and corrective maintenance, repair, quality control inspections, and testing of company facilities. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, HVAC, Generators, Batteries, UP. This is a HVAC opportunity with GCI Communication Corp in Douglas, Juneau. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning install and service. Technicians install units, charge refrigerant, and diagnose airflow and electrical faults in residential and commercial systems.
What you'll do
- Install and service HVAC units and ductwork
- Diagnose refrigerant, airflow, and electrical issues
- Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups
- Follow EPA refrigerant-handling rules
- Communicate repairs clearly to customers
