Maintenance Handyman Purpose: Colonna's Shipyard is seeking a Maintenance Handyman to support maintenance operations in Norfolk, VA. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Minor plumbing and electrical repairs, drywall repair, painting, light carpentry, cleaning, and yard maintenance. Perform repairs on machinery or minor repairs to the structure including painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing or electrical power. This is a electrical opportunity with Colonna's Shipyard in Norfolk, Norfolk City. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.
What you'll do
- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
