About this role
Ensure operation and appearance of machinery, equipment, and facilities by completing preventative maintenance, inspections, setups, repairs and upgrades following diagrams, sketches, manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, engineering instructions and/or verbal instruction. Fabricate repair parts utilizing machine shop equipment and fabrication tools. Complete all functions necessary to maintain organized parts & supplies inventories. Understand and follow procedu. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Malco Products Inc. in Akron, Summit County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
