About this role
Work is performed for the Highway Department and involves the semi-skilled operation of standard road machines and medium to light equipment, in the performance of manual labor associated with the construction and maintenance of county right-of-ways, roads, ditches, and storm sewers and dredges. Position also works on paving, patching, sign, and hydroscopic excavator crews and is subject to drive vehicles including, but not limited to, small single-axle dump trucks, the sign trucks,. This is a driving and delivery opportunity with Shelby County in Columbiana, Shelby County. Driving, delivery, and courier work. Drivers transport goods safely and on time, plan routes, and provide friendly service at each stop.
