Grounds Maintenance Worker I - Landscaping
About this role
General Summary: Performs daily maintenance of Brazos County grounds. Essential Duties: Mows grass and performs trimming work around sidewalks, curbs, and trees or bushes; Waters lawns, groundcovers, trees, shrubs, and flowers; Trims trees and bushes as needed, properly disposing of trimmings and leaves; Assist in planting plants, flowers, shrubs and trees; Drives grounds maintenance vehicles, including hauling trailer with equipment, to and from grounds projects; Keeps all grounds. This is a carpentry opportunity with Brazos County in Bryan, Brazos County. Carpentry and cabinetry — framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Carpenters measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials for both rough and fine finishing.

- Frame walls, install trim, doors, and cabinetry
- Measure and cut lumber accurately
- Read and work from construction drawings
- Use saws, drills, and finishing tools
- Ensure level, square, and plumb results
