About this role
Under the general supervision of a Lead or Head Custodian or other supervisor, performs custodial work in the cleaning, security and minor maintenance of a city or school building; does related work as required. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Performs related duties as required. Performs building and grounds maintenance such as building shelves, installing window screens and storm windows, plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, raking leaves, shoveling snow and collecting refuse. Sweeps, mops. This is a electrical opportunity with City of Stamford in Stamford, Fairfield County. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.

- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
