Non-Exempt; 8 Hours/ Day; 252 Days/Year; 12 Year; Grade EE General Responsibilities work in the care and cleaning of Norfolk Public cleaning and maintenance of the building and are performed on HVAC units, refrigeration required to operate a forklift and drive other. This is a HVAC opportunity with Norfolk Public School District in Norfolk, VA. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning install and service. Technicians install units, charge refrigerant, and diagnose airflow and electrical faults in residential and commercial systems.
What you'll do
- Install and service HVAC units and ductwork
- Diagnose refrigerant, airflow, and electrical issues
- Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups
- Follow EPA refrigerant-handling rules
- Communicate repairs clearly to customers
