Construction Superintendent
About this role
Gideon Constructors is looking for a Construction Superintendent who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the activities of a construction site according to contract documents and schedule. Their duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks and providing on-site direction to subcontractors. Collaborate with project team, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs Set performance goals and deadlines Plan construction processe. This is a construction opportunity with Gideon Constructors in Valdosta, Lowndes County. General construction and site work — building, remodeling, and preparing structures. Crews handle everything from foundations and framing to demolition and finish work, often outdoors and on active job sites.
What you'll do
- Prepare and clean job sites, load and unload materials
- Assist skilled trades with framing, concrete, and structural work
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Follow site safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Measure, cut, and position building materials to spec
