Construction Materials Delivery Driver
About this role
GMS Company is seeking a reliable Driver to safely deliver specialty building materials to commercial and residential job sites. In this Transportation & Logistics role, you will operate company trucks, load and secure wallboard, ceilings, steel framing, insulation, and related products, and provide professional on-site customer service. Responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, following DOT and GMS safety standards, and coordinating closely with dispatch and warehous. This is a carpentry opportunity with GMS Company in Iowa City, Johnson County. Carpentry and cabinetry — framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Carpenters measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials for both rough and fine finishing.

- Frame walls, install trim, doors, and cabinetry
- Measure and cut lumber accurately
- Read and work from construction drawings
- Use saws, drills, and finishing tools
- Ensure level, square, and plumb results
