Construction Health Safety Manager
About this role
We are currently seeking a HSE Manager for our Construction Project in Kodiak, AK. The HSE Manager assists with inspections, accident investigations, conducts safety meetings, and the overall implementation of the health, safety and environmental (EHS) processes. The HSE Manager shall be responsible for compiling and maintaining necessary records, logs and other reports pertaining to safety required by the contractor, client, Federal, State and Local regulations. As a fourth-generation. This is a construction opportunity with The Walsh Group in Kodiak, Kodiak Island. General construction and site work — building, remodeling, and preparing structures. Crews handle everything from foundations and framing to demolition and finish work, often outdoors and on active job sites.
What you'll do
- Prepare and clean job sites, load and unload materials
- Assist skilled trades with framing, concrete, and structural work
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Follow site safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Measure, cut, and position building materials to spec
