About this role
Performs a variety of rough and finish carpentry in the construction, remodeling, repair and maintenance of city buildings and facilities. Works under the general supervision of the Carpenter Crew Leader, arranging and performing routine assignments alone. Detailed instructions are received and work in progress is reviewed occasionally to frequently. May train and provide technical advice to Trades Interns, as assigned. Representative Duties Performs a variety of interior and exteri. This is a carpentry opportunity with City of Santa Monica in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County. Carpentry and cabinetry — framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Carpenters measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials for both rough and fine finishing.
