Building Maintenance Worker
About this role
Performs minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance and assists crafts , and finishes drywall. Relocates various areas. Repairs roofs, ceilings and installs major roofing repairs. Cleans down spouts and custodial and other indoor laborer duties, as needed. This is a electrical opportunity with Texas Southmost College in Austin, TX. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.
What you'll do
- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
