Aggregate Plant Repairman
About this role
CalPortland, a leading producer of cement, concrete, and asphalt, seeks an Aggregate Plant Repairman to keep our mining and aggregate processing equipment running safely and efficiently. In this on-site role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair crushers, screens, conveyors, and related systems, performing welding, fabrication, and mechanical work in a heavy industrial environment. You will execute preventive maintenance, support plant shutdowns and rebuilds, and strictly follow safety an. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with CalPortland in Spring Valley Lake, San Bernardino County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
