2nd Shift - Sub Assembly Machinist
About this role
Sub Assembly Machinist Operating mechanical equipment on 2nd Shift to fabricate and construct both parts and sub-assemblies for use in final building of unit assemblies for all Evapco cooling tower and condenser product lines. Uses drawings and documentation to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. This position will also provide technician support for the department. Knowledge, Skills, & Experience • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is requ. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Evapco in Madera, Madera County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.

- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
