The Welder Apprentice plays a critical support role by preparing everything the welder needs to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality. This position ensures materials, parts, tools, fixtures, and work areas are ready before welding begins, allowing welders to remain productive throughout the day. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who want to build a career in manufacturing and ultimately become a welde. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Wolfe Electric Inc in Wichita, Sedgwick County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.

What you'll do

  • Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings
  • Cut and grind metal to spec
  • Inspect welds for strength and quality
  • Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
