About this role
Follow manufacturing methods to perform welding tasks in a safe manner under the direction of the supervisor, group leader or experienced associates in the area. As required by the manufacturing process, will operate manual grinding equipment. Performs visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications. Helps facilitate the team in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving welding problems that enhance through-put within the work team. Respo. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with LUFKIN in Lufkin, Angelina County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.

- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
