About this role
Commercial Sub-Contractor seeking employee with knowledge of working with basic hand tools such as Welder, Tape Measure, Jig Saw, Drills, etc. Some knowledge of sectional or rolling doors or willing to learn and the possibility of advancement with the company. Work days are from Monday thru Friday 7:00AM to 5:00PM with possible overtime required. Must be able to pass background check and clean driving record required. Pay based on experience and knowledge. Compan. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Alamo Door Systems in Harlingen, Cameron County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
