Senior Transmission Line Engineer 2 - Grid
About this role
This position will offer you the ability to apply and expand your knowledge of transmission line engineering including, conductors, hardware, insulation, structures, foundations and electrical principles to: Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range. Responsibility for cost analyses, development of design criteria, routing and siting of transmission lines. Responsibility for conductor selection studies, shielding, grounding and induction studies. Work with vendor. This is a electrical opportunity with Sargent & Lundy in Valle Hermoso, Hormigueros. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.
What you'll do
- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
