Senior Electrician, Construction
About this role
Responsible for electrical maintenance, repair, and improvement for process and facility systems. Work includes troubleshooting, ordering, installation and maintenance of high voltage and low voltage systems. Will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the nature of the processes and the equipment connected to the electrical system. Applies his/her full knowledge of these systems in the performance of troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment. This is a electrical opportunity with AbbVie in North Chicago, Lake County. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.
What you'll do
- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
