Classification Title: Preventive Maintenance Technician Department: Facilities Maintenance Pay Grade: Classified Salary Scale (C4) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Supervisor: Coordinator of Facilities Maintenance GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB The individual in this position is responsible for performing, conducting, and completing thorough preventive maintenance on all heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning systems and other equipment throughout the facilities owned by Henry County Public. This is a HVAC opportunity with Henry County Public Schools in Bassett, Henry County. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning install and service. Technicians install units, charge refrigerant, and diagnose airflow and electrical faults in residential and commercial systems.

What you'll do

  • Install and service HVAC units and ductwork
  • Diagnose refrigerant, airflow, and electrical issues
  • Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups
  • Follow EPA refrigerant-handling rules
  • Communicate repairs clearly to customers
