Maintenance/Handyman
About this role
We are seeking a responsible individual with hands-on experience in residential maintenance and general building upkeep to ensure residential facilities remain clean, safe, functional, and well maintained. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a variety of routine maintenance tasks including general repairs, sanitation and waste disposal, and day-to-day upkeep. Requirements: Previous experience in residential maintenance or a related field Experience in carpentry, electrical work, pl. This is a electrical opportunity with Ohel Children's Home and Family Services in Brooklyn, New York City. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.
What you'll do
- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
