Maintenance Electrician
About this role
Smurfit Westrock seeks a Maintenance Electrician to keep our high-speed manufacturing equipment running safely and reliably. In this on-site role, you’ll troubleshoot and repair electrical and control issues on packaging and converting lines, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and support upgrades to motors, drives, and sensors. You’ll interpret schematics, follow strict safety and LOTO standards, and work closely with mechanics and engineers to drive uptime, reliability, and contin. This is a electrical opportunity with Smurfit Westrock in Springfield, Hampden County. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.
What you'll do
- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
