About this role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Carpenter to independently manage repairs and upkeep across multiple office and shop locations in Newport News, Hampton, and Chesapeake. This role combines scheduled maintenance with reactive tasks to ensure all facilities remain in excellent condition, requiring limited travel between sites. Responsibilities Perform repairs and maintenance on office and shop facilities Maintain cleanliness and order of shop and office environ. This is a carpentry opportunity with Bay Custom Auto in Newport News, Newport News City. Carpentry and cabinetry — framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Carpenters measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials for both rough and fine finishing.

Frame walls, install trim, doors, and cabinetry
Measure and cut lumber accurately
Read and work from construction drawings
Use saws, drills, and finishing tools
Ensure level, square, and plumb results
