POSITION DESCRIPTION CITY OF MUNCIE, INDIANA SANITARY DISTRICT POSITION: Journeyman 1 Electrician DEPARTMENT: Water Pollution Control Facility WORK SCHEDULE: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., M-F JOB CATEGORY: LTC (Labor, Trades, Crafts) DATE WRITTEN: July, 2025 STATUS: Full-time FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in this document are representative. This is a electrical opportunity with Muncie Sanitary District in Muncie, Delaware County. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.

- Install wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
- Assist licensed electricians as needed
