About this role

The Lutheran Home is seeking an experienced professional for the HVAC and Equipment Maintenance position. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and monitoring HVAC units as well as various equipment and appliances across our healthcare community. The individual evaluates the viability of repairing equipment versus replacement while performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Success in this role requires a commitment. This is a HVAC opportunity with Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau County. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning install and service. Technicians install units, charge refrigerant, and diagnose airflow and electrical faults in residential and commercial systems.

What you'll do

  • Install and service HVAC units and ductwork
  • Diagnose refrigerant, airflow, and electrical issues
  • Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups
  • Follow EPA refrigerant-handling rules
  • Communicate repairs clearly to customers
