Field Technician - Winchester, VA The Field Technician will perform engineering construction materials testing and inspections on active construction sites, focusing on quality control of concrete, soils, asphalt, and other materials. This role works primarily in the field, independently managing daily testing activities, documentation, and communication with project stakeholders while adhering to strict safety procedures and industry standards. R. This is a construction opportunity with Actalent in Sterling, Kenai Peninsula. General construction and site work — building, remodeling, and preparing structures. Crews handle everything from foundations and framing to demolition and finish work, often outdoors and on active job sites.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and clean job sites, load and unload materials
  • Assist skilled trades with framing, concrete, and structural work
  • Operate hand and power tools safely
  • Follow site safety protocols and wear required PPE
  • Measure, cut, and position building materials to spec
