About this role
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in majors related to construction, engineering, related fields, or equivalent experience. Five or more years of proven experience in the construction materials industry. Experience with technical software such as AutoCAD 2018 or higher preferred, GIS, and other math-based systems. 3-D modeling is a plus. Must be able to read and interpret sketches and construction plans. Proficient with MS Office suite of products and industry-related computer software. Ex. This is a construction opportunity with Knife River in Aiea, Honolulu. General construction and site work — building, remodeling, and preparing structures. Crews handle everything from foundations and framing to demolition and finish work, often outdoors and on active job sites.
What you'll do
- Prepare and clean job sites, load and unload materials
- Assist skilled trades with framing, concrete, and structural work
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Follow site safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Measure, cut, and position building materials to spec
