Construction Materials Technician (Construction Inspector) | Onsite in Sandston, VA | Pay: $20 - $26/hr This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced project management and field services professionals to safely perform construction materials testing, inspection, and documentation on active construction sites. You will support a variety of projects by conducting field observations, tests, and inspections on soils, aggregates, conc. This is a construction opportunity with Actalent in Richmond, Richmond County. General construction and site work — building, remodeling, and preparing structures. Crews handle everything from foundations and framing to demolition and finish work, often outdoors and on active job sites.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and clean job sites, load and unload materials
  • Assist skilled trades with framing, concrete, and structural work
  • Operate hand and power tools safely
  • Follow site safety protocols and wear required PPE
  • Measure, cut, and position building materials to spec
