About this role

We are looking to hire a Construction Estimator. General Duties: Read project drawings and understand specifications. Provide accurate takeoffs. Estimate materials and labor, and the budget for commercial projects. Form strong working relationships with subcontractors, estimators, architects, and owners. Commit to deadlines and deliver accurate estimates in a timely fashion. Manage and respond to RFIs and submittals during the job acquisition cycle. Attend on-sit. This is a construction opportunity with QCM, Inc. in Capitol Heights, Prince George's County. General construction and site work — building, remodeling, and preparing structures. Crews handle everything from foundations and framing to demolition and finish work, often outdoors and on active job sites.

What you'll do

Prepare and clean job sites, load and unload materials
Assist skilled trades with framing, concrete, and structural work
Operate hand and power tools safely
Follow site safety protocols and wear required PPE
Measure, cut, and position building materials to spec
