How You Can Help Us Make a Difference Are you skilled in concrete, masonry, and hands-on construction work? In this role, you’ll help build, repair, and maintain essential County infrastructure, performing specialized work on sidewalks, curbs, driveways, catch basins, walls, and other concrete, brick, and block structures that support safe and functional public spaces. You’ll take part in a variety of construction and repair projects—from forming and pouring concrete for catch basins to laying. This is a construction opportunity with Charlotte, County of in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County. General construction and site work — building, remodeling, and preparing structures. Crews handle everything from foundations and framing to demolition and finish work, often outdoors and on active job sites.
What you'll do
- Prepare and clean job sites, load and unload materials
- Assist skilled trades with framing, concrete, and structural work
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Follow site safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Measure, cut, and position building materials to spec
