About this role
Commercial Carpenter This role involves working on a wide range of commercial carpentry projects across the Chicagoland suburbs, including areas up to Wisconsin, west to DeKalb, and south to I-80. You will focus on commercial metal stud framing, drywall installation, acoustic ceilings, and related interior systems on both new construction and remodeling projects. Project assignments are scheduled as closely as possible to your home loca. This is a carpentry opportunity with Aerotek in Elgin, Kane County. Carpentry and cabinetry — framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Carpenters measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials for both rough and fine finishing.
What you'll do
- Frame walls, install trim, doors, and cabinetry
- Measure and cut lumber accurately
- Read and work from construction drawings
- Use saws, drills, and finishing tools
- Ensure level, square, and plumb results
