MT DIABLO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Position Description TITLE: Carpenter REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager DEPARTMENT: Maintenance, Operations & Facilities CLASSIFICATION: Classified SALARY: Teamster Range 533 BOARD APPROVED: April 16, 2025 Work Length: 8 hours per day Days Worked: 260 Days Work Schedule: Mon - Fri SUMMARY DEFINITION: Under direction and general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, performs a variety of skilled carpentry work in the repair, alteration, construction, and mainten. This is a carpentry opportunity with Mt. Diablo Unified School District in Concord, Contra Costa County. Carpentry and cabinetry — framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Carpenters measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials for both rough and fine finishing.

- Frame walls, install trim, doors, and cabinetry
- Measure and cut lumber accurately
- Read and work from construction drawings
- Use saws, drills, and finishing tools
- Ensure level, square, and plumb results
