Carpenter Facilities Department 12 Month Position Position Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of carpentry duties within the District, including repairing equipment, hanging drywall and making cabinets and shelves. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Post-high school vocational study preferred Requires 2-5 years of job-related prior experience. Requires completion of Asbestos Awareness Program Basic math skills required. Working knowledge of building codes. Working kno. This is a carpentry opportunity with Mehlville R-9 School District in Saint Louis, Saint Louis County. Carpentry and cabinetry — framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Carpenters measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials for both rough and fine finishing.

- Frame walls, install trim, doors, and cabinetry
- Measure and cut lumber accurately
- Read and work from construction drawings
- Use saws, drills, and finishing tools
- Ensure level, square, and plumb results
