About this role
Carpenters work primarily independently and can utilize critical thinking skills to troubleshoot projects. Carpenters are in charge of the project when the project manager is not on site but will report any questions or concerns right away to the Project Manager. They perform tasks involving mental attention to detail and physical labor for residential and commercial projects. They operate a variety of hand and power tools. They clean and prepare sites, dig holes, set braces to support the side. This is a carpentry opportunity with Tri-County Home Pros in West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County. Carpentry and cabinetry — framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work. Carpenters measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials for both rough and fine finishing.
What you'll do
- Frame walls, install trim, doors, and cabinetry
- Measure and cut lumber accurately
- Read and work from construction drawings
- Use saws, drills, and finishing tools
- Ensure level, square, and plumb results
